Pool pH balanceNeutral pH is very good for your pool. A pool pH should always be between 7.2 - 7.8 with anything below 7.2 being too acidic and anything above 7.8 being too basic. During our pH balancing services we always strive to reset your pool to the 7.4 - 7.6 optimal range. If the pH is too low you will experience a dry-eye sensation when swimming. If the pH is too high your eyes will sting. Adding sodium (bi)carbonate will raise the pH of your pool and adding muriatic acid or sodium bisulfate pool acid will lower the pH of your pool.
